about

Working with Craig Conley/Prof. Oddfellow and his fabulous friends on the previous album was a wonderful dream.

To continue the positivity, Prof. Oddfellow was consulted to help guide this reworking of 'Here, a Miracle' through a process of 'divination' with numerology to 'remix' a song. Cuddlebot requested some various sets of numbers representing some themes tangentially related to 'Miracles', which he graciously provided. Of these sets of 'numbers', five were selected.

These were used to alter the song in the following ways/stages:

Stage 1) 107 = 'Visions'
The BPM was changed to 107.

Stage 2) 139 = 'Hallucination'
The song then begins with a sequence for 'hallucination'. The 1st, 3rd, 9th chords were extracted from the chorus and used to build the first half of the initial sequence.

Then, (from top to bottom, and left to right) the 1st, 3rd and 9th note of each respective chord (e.g., 1st chord, 1st note, 9th chord, 9th note (The 9th note would be the 2nd note of a 4 note chord)) was moved higher/lower for the same number of steps.

Stage 3) 124 = 'Cosmology'
(As this stage is not an act or direct experience in the same way as the other stages, this is omitted from the title)
The 1st, 2nd, and 4th chords of the verse were used to build the first half of the next sequence. No additional shifting happened because the song is 'becoming more coherent' . A rough sketch/understanding of the scope and shape (i.e., cosmology) of the song is coming into view.

Stage 4) 95 = 'Anamnesis'
The 9th and 5th chords of the chorus were selected, but since it is only a remembrance of the past, the order is mixed. Thus, the 9th chord precedes the 5th.

Stage 5) 83 = 'Gnosis'
The 3rd chord follows the 8th chord. Things are simplified, but clearer.

Stage 6) The song returns 'the Tumbling Result' (in its new form, eventually dissolving and ambiguates over time).

Prof. Oddfellow has created a video with an earlier version of the 'Conjuring' that can be watched by searching YouTube for 'An Otherworldly Transmission: Prof. Oddfellow's Penetralia'.

about

Cuddlebot Seattle, Washington

The storm darkened the skies and the weather-stripping fell out of my car. With power levels low, the future was uncertain. Soon, friends, no matter their occult inclinations, rebuilt my confidence and I am back with a full charge. Beep.

I (Cuddlebot) love kindness, friendship and tangents.

You may remember my old friend Port.
